Thanksgiving Scrap

I’ve finally finished my Thanksgiving scrap, and I’m hoping that my visitors will like it. My two favorite parts of it are the button corn and the turkey. The idea for the button corn came from a design for a paper scrapping site called All Kids Network I thought it was just too cute, and had to try to recreate it for a digital kit. I got the idea for the turkey from an Oriental Trading Company catalog.

The pinwheel was a template that came from a scrapping blog which I was silly enough not to bookmark. If any of my visitors know which blog it is from, if you could could drop me an email and give me the URL, I would be most appreciative. I want to give credit to anyone whose work I use.

Okay. ‘nuff said. The preview of the Thanksgiving scrap is below, and if you like it, you are welcome to snag it here.

I'm Late, I'm Late!

Yes, so much to do and so little of me! *laughs* I had hoped to have finished the Thanksgiving scrap and have it posted for those folks who wanted it by now, but unfortunately, reality has a bad habit of interfering in my virtual life, and I haven't been able to get that done. I am still trying to find ideas for elements for it, but hopefully I can do that soon and get the kit posted.

I am also working on a Christmas scrap that I want to shore with the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies site, where the link to the scrap will be available throughout December. It's a great way to great way to get traffic to your site; and while you visitors are snagging freebies maybe they'll buy a few things as well! The blog is here and it's worth visiting if for no other reason than to see the wonderful background set they have there. Let it snow!

I am also hoping to be able to start getting some commercial use stuff up in the near future. There will always be freebies here at Blue Nile Scrap Design, but I am hoping to be able to supplement my income with a few items to purchase as well.

So, dear visitor, please keep popping in to see what I have for you. I promise it will be worthwhile!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I've finally finished my very first scrap kit, and I'm unveiling it today. It's called 'Baby, It's Cold Outside', and I got the idea for it while watching my four-year-old granddaughter watch 'Elf' for about the nine thousandth time. The movie irritates me tremendously, but I love the way Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone sing the song; makes it almost worthwhile.  At any rate, I went even crazier, trying to find a way to make the icicles in the kit, until I found Eye Candy: Nature. OMG, is this filter fabulous or what? My sincerest thanks to Shawna of Scrap Stuff with PSP. Not only are her tutorials fabulous, but she has found some of the best filters I've ever seen! Shawna is my scrap guru... LOL! You can check out her site for yourself here: http://scrap-stuff-with-psp-tutorials.blogspot.com/

If you like the kit, feel free to grab it. You can download it here: http://www.4shared.com/file/148058918/617ed1ad/cold.html

Since I am new to the digital scrapbook world, I would really appreciate any constructive criticism you might care to leave to help me improve and make more awesomted working e stuff. I'm off now... onward and upward!I've started working on a Thanksgiving kit, and now, I gotta go chase down a turkey... ur, uh... tutorial. Turkey tutorial. *laughs*

Enjoy the kit and come back again soon to see what else I have come up with!

Coming Soon - Blue Nile Scrap Designs!

Welcome, visitor! I have just started learning how to design digital scrap book pages, and eventually, this will be where my little scrap blog is going to be. For now, it's just a blank page, waiting to be dressed, but hopefully, soon, I'll be adding the window dressing, and all my scrapping visitors will be able to find a lot of interest here.

So come back again soon to see what I've done with the place. In the meanwhile, if you enjoy decorative alphabets, you might drop by Alphas by Lady Red to see if I have anything that catches your fancy.
